Week 1

So it is almost here! After months of waiting, the NFL season returns Thursday night when the Vikings take on the Champs in New Orleans.

This also means the long anticipated start of Fantasy Football. If everyone else is like me, then you have been researching since last December for this upcoming season. There is so much to look forward to in week 1:

You have 2 rookies going at eachother in Brandon's "Thunderstruck" and Kathleen's "Nutcrackers". This one should be good to see.

Mark and Sage are going to have a great game, as Mark tries to uphold his tradition of being one of the most consistent players in our league every year.

Ben is going to welcome Dakota to the league....Whether that is nicely or by way of ass whopping is yet to be seen..

Brandon and Cherish may have enjoyed dinner together last night with Maggie and me, but they will be doing battle on the FF field come week 1.

Jordan and Jim go head to head in what will surely be a great battle. 2 of the most knowledgable people in our league=great game.

Then you have me facing my little brother Todd...Ahh this one makes me smile everytime I think of it. We always have classics, whether both are doing great, 1 is doing shitty with the other doing great, or both of us doing shitty. I know I speak for TOdd in saying that I am looking forward to another clash of the Titans.

Well it certainly was an interesting one. Full of surprises, blow ups and fails.

I would have to say I was surprised about Kolb's fail, and then that caused a blow up. Also I just want to say that that Calvin Johnson catch was a CATCH, and TOUCHDOWN! Common sense, when are we going to start using that in the NFL? I know what the rule says but it needs to be changed.

I lost, and I know it amuses a lot of you. Being the champion is awesome, but at the same time it magnifies your troubles. Enjoy them while they last because they are making a 1 week 1 appearance.

Jim was a victim of playing the weekly blow up in Jordan. Not to downplay Jordan's team at all. He hit on a lot of players, congrats.

Cherish had what I thought was a comfortable lead in Monday night, but Brandon made it interesting. I was shocked to see that he pulled within 8 points. That Philip Rivers to Gates combo is going to be scary.

Brandon got past Kathleen in the battle of the rookies.

Speaking of rookies, the other one took it to Ben and upset the big guy. I don;t think that went over well, and like Jim and I, you won't be able to keep him down for long.

Mark once again proved why he is and has always been one of our most steady guys. He has the knowledge. He is the first winner of the high score of the week.

Congrats to everyone on a good and crazy week 1. I already have a few new grey hairs.

Only if the texans D didnt give up a fuckin 70yrd (14 fp) td at the end of a game that was over anyway i would be sitting pretty now.... fuckin texans... good game Dakota, ill get you next time.
