October 10th?

Hey I am getting the itch to play a game...and I know how hard it is to plan.


But let's do it anyway. This weekend is no good for Todd and Brandon for sure, so let's shoot for a couple Saturdays from now. That way you can make the right arrangements.

Let's shoot for Saturday, October 10th, at 1pm. We can play on Cathedral's field.

Request off work, don't make any other plans, and most important, TELL YOUR FRIENDS. Come out and play, it's always a blast, but only if we get enough people. Post here whether or not you can make it.

real or flag?

It's impossible for me to play less than as hard as I can. So If we play tackle, I will inevitably get hurt. I will in flag too but less chance of broken bones. Not worth the down time.

What happens when one of you studs breaks a leg or worse? Most of you guys have no insurance and would miss $ work. I never cared when I was your age either but just remember I told you so.

I'm down if it's flag or if it's people we can trust to go throttle down on the tackles.

I'm not at all opposed to flag. I know for a fact Mr. Whybrew is without insurance right now, and Brandon isn't really down with tackle either, so I can go flag to. It would definatly make it more challenging (not able to break tackles.) the only problem would be the actual flags them selves. We can always chip in for some, and if the whole league wants to use them, chipping in 12 ways would be good and cheap.

I get 25% off at DSG or we can go cheap and do strips of cloth from a sheet or something.

What is the selection like at Dicks Jim? that would probably be our best bet. Like I said, a set split 12 ways would be cheap, and we could use it definatly more than once.

And with flag you don't need as big a numbers as you do with tackle. Hell, we play in a 4 on 4 league sometimes. I think if we can get 5 on 5 that would be perfect.

So who is down for playing some flag football?

I'm down, and I'm not sure if that is fall break or not, but if it is I'll definitely be there. If its not fall break though idk if i can make it.

So I just looked it up, and I am on fall break, but I'm also on the schedule to work on saturday, so I'm not convinced that I can make it for sure. I'll go ahead and put up a request for someone to cover my shift, but I can't make any promises.

i didnt even read all of these posts, but i am down. for me, without having insurance right now, i would lean more toward flag, so whatever's clever!

me and Mark (or Mark and I?) will prolly be like half an hour late or so cause we got SAT's right before it. It'll be nice to play some football after that.

Just a standard set of 12 would be cool, and I'll look at Castleton, but we should just cut some strips with old shirts...

There is too much grey area in touch for me. Too many "you only got one hand", or "you didn't touch me" going on.

I think we need flags, and I will find some. I have a few connections.
