Dolphins against Jets in Week 1

I know that many of you have not given my fish a chance in hell, but it looks like Sports Illustrated does, and I quote:

1. Ex-Jets starter Chad Pennington will out-play current Jets starter Brett Favre in Week 1 in Miami, proving that one team's garbage can indeed be another team's treasure. Pennington's edge will be his familiarity with New York's defense, and his motivation to make the Jets rue their lack of faith in him. We know Favre gets a little hot and bothered with the idea of playing in warm weather, and with Sunday's high temperature of 88 predicted in the Miami area, might he and his Jets do a little wilting in the fourth quarter?

Pennington outplays Old Man River and throws 2 Tds, with Ricky Williams chipping in for the cause with a rushing TD and Ted Ginn takes a kick or punt to the house.

The Phins secondary is better than you think...In fact they were 4th in total pass D. Something you guys didn't know:

I'm really not sure why anyone is optimistic about the Dolphins (except for Ryan who hopes against hope), but you do have a point about Pennington, he does have that advantage over the Jets' D

Last word on this game...even though the Dolphins lost, Chad still outperformed Favre, on paper and in this reporter's opinion. Miami dominated the Jets in the second half, and if we would have won on the last throw like we had a chance to, everyone would be taking away their Jets' winning the division talk. If the Jets are going to win the division, the Dolphins are in good shape, because they hung with them Sunday, and it was a good game. That first TD pass from Brett was magical, the second was bull.
